It is the starting weapon for all US campaign levels with Sam Fordson except for Burning City, it is also seen in hands of allied NPCs, although less common than the M92FS. The M1911A1 is unlocked on level 33, it is available for all factions and can be equipped with all attachments available for pistols. The M1911 is more powerful than the other handguns but has less ammo capacity and a longer reload time, nevertheless, the M1911A1 has a low recoil and higher damage than other pistols and can be a deadly stealth weapon when equipped with a silencer, as the M1911 suffers very little rangre drop with a silencer and can kill in 3 shots in short range, when Hollow Point is equipped, it can kill with 2 shots at a close range and 4 shots when in long range engagements, a direct shot to the head can instantly kill the enemy or put him in Second Chance stance when their health level is 70% or lower, when their health level is over 80, two shots on the head will not kill the enemy.
The M1911 is the starting weapon in all zombie maps, the M1911A1 is a very effective weapon until level 5, as it requires only 2 shots to kill an enemy in rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4, it takes more than 4 shots to kill an enemy in level 5. This Colt pistol can be Pack-a-Punched, when upgraded, it becomes the "X-Pl0z1v GAG", the gun uses explosive ammunition instead of its standard .45 ACP ammo and gets decreased reload time, aiming time is also quicker and gets increased ammo capacity from 7 rounds to 10.
