Danger Close: Art of War

The McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle is an American strike fighter featured in Danger Close: Art of War.

"The F-15E is a variant of the F-15, built in 1986 to compliment the F-15 Eagle, the Strike Eagle has seen action in a number of battles fought by US forces. It is one of the most prominent aircraft currently in USAF inventory."
―In-Game description

The Strike Eagle is featured in "H-Hour", "Acta Non Verba", "Red Devil" and "Dark", it is usable in "Hell's Wings" by the player, who controls the USAF pilot Susan Darling. It appears once again in "At the Gates" providing air support to the player's squad. The Strike Eagle has notable differences in Singleplayer from Multiplayer, the first being that the AIM-120's are replaced by AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, also that the pilot has control over the 20mm, instead of the copilot, as well as the air-to-ground missiles, which are controlled by the copilot in Multiplayer and in Singleplayer they are used by the pilot.

  • All F-15E's in-game belong to the fictional USAF squadron "20 Minuters", which is an obvious reference to the British sitcom Blackadder.
