Mickael Friedrich Johann Bachmeier is a German soldier. Bachmeier fought during World War II for the Eastern Front along the Wehrmacht. He is one of the protagonists of Für das Vaterland.
Mickael was born in Munich, Bavaria during the First World War, his childhood was influenced by the economic depression after World War One, which led a strong resentment towards the English, French and Americans.
Bachmeier joined the German army in 1939 during the outbreak of World War Two, he was deployed in Norway in 1940 and fought British forces in the Western Norwegian coast. His unit was deployed immediately in Western Norway where he halted the British advance to Norway, his unit was pushed East where German reinforcements assisted him and his platoon in a long battle in the Fjords. Bachmeier halted the British and stopped their advance to Norway, thus earning him a recognition medal.
